Holiday Sales Party Thrown: Nobody Shoes Up

Today I predict that holiday sales will be dismal — a party thrown — which nobody shows up.

With deep-cut pre-Christmas sales having no effect on customer spending habits, why do stores think that lowering prices another 10 or 20 percent will entice customers to part with their money?

With a deep deflationary cycle going on in the world, simply wait a few months when the prices will be deeply discounted.  Simply wait and only buy the things you need instead of want — because — it’s cool to be frugal.

Will There Be an After Christmas Sales Stampede at Walmart

Will there be an after christmas sales stampede at Wal Mart this Friday?  My prediction there is going to be a huge rush to bring back gifts that nobody really wanted in the first place.

Dump them off and then go get something on sale.  How many will get hurt in the stampede for getting 50 to 80 percent off.

Stay home folks and save your money for the upcoming economic colaspe.

Police Still Unsure Who Killed Walmart Worker (Video)

Despite his size, the 6′ 5″, 270 pound Jdimytai Damour could not stop the rush of humanity as hundreds of Wal-Mart shoppers stepped on him on the Black Friday shopping day last week. This is making it extremely difficult for the Police to issue charges in the death of the Walmart worker.

My Playgirl Career Ends in Chapter 11

Sad news today: my career as a Playgirl model ended today when I found out the magazine decided to close up shop.  I feel bankrupt, totally Chapter 11.

I took me over a year to get buff and big, if you know what I mean; and I finally got up enough courage to call Playgirl to get the balls rolling…

But now, my hope and dreams of modeling on Playgirl has shriveled away…

Did You Download the PS3 2.53 Firmware Upgrade?

Did you download the PS3 2.53 Firmware Upgrade? If not you can download version 2.53 here.  According to Sony, the

PLAYSTATION®3 system software update may include security patches, new or revised settings and features and other items, which will change your current operating system…

The Playstation PS3 2.53 upgrade is right on the heels of version 2.52 released less than 1 month ago on November 5, 2008.  Sony announced the Firmware upgrade last week but did not go GA until today.

Best Cyber Monday Deals

Peter Davis brings you a list of the best Cyber Monday Deals. No bullets to dodge at Toys ‘R’ Us, no stampeding Wal-Mart Shoppers. Just a mad rush to find the best online deals.

Best Cyber Monday Deal 1

The first on the list is Amazon. My old favorite where you always find a good deal. This company you can buy just about anything at a discount. Shipping is typically free (and it is still early enough before Christmas for free shipping.)

Cyber Monday Deal 1 goes to Amazon with … the Holiday Toy List.

Best Cyber Monday Deal 2

The second on the list is Best Buy. Why go to that boxy blue store when a few clicks of the mouse is all it takes to get that special gift? Now of course, Best Buy extended this deal from Sunday to Monday, so you probably missed the first 24 hrs of the great electronics sale.

Never fear, Cyber Monday Deal 2 goes to Best Buy cause they’re also having a Cyber Week Deal.

Best Cyber Monday Deal 3

The third, and last on the list is Shopzilla. Now if you haven’t found that gift at Amazon or Best Buy, ShopZilla has just about everything you can think of. And if you can’t think of anything, try their Holiday Gift Guide to Deals.

But hurry folks, you only have 24 18 12 … more hours to shop until all the best Cyber Monday Deals are gone!

Wal-Mart Deaths Avoidable

Jdimytai Damour, 34 was crushed to death early Friday morning by a stampede of Walmart shoppers. According to the Local 1500, the Wal-Mart death was avoidable:

“This incident was avoidable,” said Bruce Both, president of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 1500, the state of New York’s largest grocery worker’s union.

Bruce Both continues:

“This is not just tragic; it rises to a level of blatant irresponsibility by Wal-Mart,” he said.
