NOAA expects Fay to upgrade to a category one hurricane once it hits the projected path on the South Western tip of Florida.

Bigfoot or Big Hoax?

Posted in Science with tags , , on August 16, 2008 by Peter Davis

The Searching for Bigfoot press release was somewhat disappointing with lots of skeptical journalists trying to get down to facts. Facts that DNA evidence do not support.

As reported in CNN:

“They released a purported DNA result, although it was uncertain if the DNA info was supposed to be compared to other primates.”

According to Reuters, Bigfoot is simply a huge opossum:

“One of the two samples of DNA said to prove the existence of the Bigfoot came from a human and the other was 96 percent from an opossum, according to Curt Nelson, a scientist at the University of Minnesota who performed the DNA analysis.”

Sorry folks, the Whitton-Dyer Bigfoot is simply a hoax.

Mikhail Gorbachev Claims Georgia Started War

Posted in Government with tags , on August 15, 2008 by Peter Davis

According to CNN, Mikhail Gorbachev claims that Georgia started the war when they attacked Tskhinvali and Russia responded by defending it’s country.

Gorbachev told CNN’s Larry King that Russia moved additional forces into South Ossetia in response to “devastation” in the South Ossetia city of Tskhinvali.

Is this a precursor to a larger scale war with US forces moving a massive armada to the Persian Gulf?

Bigfoot Sightings Remains Illusive

Posted in Science with tags , , on August 15, 2008 by Peter Davis

Yesterday, since Searching for Bigfoot announced that they would provide DNA evidence on the Bigfoot remains found in Georgia, sighting confessions have been popping up all over the internet.

Now that remains of a sasquatch was found in the northern part of Georgia, everyone is seeing the “Big Guy” all over the place.

Yet the creature seems illusive to me and it escapes me that after closely examining the picture of Bigfoot in the freezer, the face reminds me of the Gorilla suit worn by one on the actors in the movie Trading Places.

Time will tell when the DNA evidence suggest that the Bigfoot Whitton and Dyer actually found was a Gorilla.

The National Archives released documents identifying the legendary “Galloping Gourmet” chef Julia Child as an OSS spy.

The documents listed over 24,000 individuals, including Julia Child, whom worked as World War II operatives in defeating fascist Germany.

During WW II, Child worked at OSS Headquarters in Washington D.C. for General William J. Donovan where she typed up thousands of names on white note cards used to keep track of officers.

To offset the 12,000 per day calorie diet, Phelps swims and swims and swims…   You would be surprised what Phelps eats in this diet video:

Body of Bigfoot Found in Georgia

Posted in Science with tags , , on August 13, 2008 by Peter Davis

Two hunters claim to found a body of an animal which resembles the mythical Bigfoot creature in Georgia. The creature was found by Matthew Whitton and Rick Dyer in the woods in northern GA.

Dyer and Whitton literally put the Bigfoot body on ice storing the dead animal in a freezer to preserve the remains.

Some interesting facts about the Bigfoot creature is that

  • The creature’s foot measures over 16 inches long; hence the Bigfoot name
  • The creature weighs over 500 lbs
  • The creature is over 7′ tall

Did Whitton and Dyer really find Bigfoot? Or is this just another publicity stunt? According to Searching for Bigfoot, Inc., they will report the DNA test results on the body to determine what this creature is to determine if a new species was found called “Bigfoot.”

American Idol Brooke White Debuts CD

Top 5 American Idol finalist Brooke White is debuting her first album “Songs From the Attic” and is available at her website brookewhite.com.

Not only is a very talented artist and singer, she’s very humble.  I just love it when Brooke White screws up the first cord in “Every Breath You Take” and immediately regains composure on the next beat.

I’m sure that this is where she lost the American Idol contest but like a true pro, Brooke admits her mistake to the American Idol Judges.

For the life of me, I couldn’t figure out who were all of the Batman Villains while waiting in line for the Batman 3 movie last night. Of course there was The Joker, Penguin and Riddler. Who am I missing? Catwoman?

The Joker

The original Joker was played by Ceaser Romero in the Batman television series. Jack Nickolson played the Joker in the first Batman movie and now Heath Ledger plays the latest villain.

The Penguin

The original Penguin was played by Burgess Meredith in the TV series and later by Danny Devito in the movie.

The Riddler

Frank Gorshin portrayed the Riddler on TV and Jim Carrey in the movie.

Catwoman

Julie Newmar was the Catwoman in the Batman television series. Machelle Pfeiffer was Catwoman in Batman Returns.

Debbie Clemens Probed About HGH

Debbie and Roger Clemens

Did Debbie Clemens take HGH to get ready for the 2003 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit photo? I don’t believe that she did — and if she did — it would not have any effect on her killer body which takes years to obtain.

But there was evidence provided that suggests that HGH may have been around the time of the photo shoot and it is causing additional probing into this Clemens’ fiasco. Now I don’t want to be anal about this, but the NY Daily News reported that,

According to the sources, the timing of the shipment to Clemens’ home coincides roughly with the dates when Clemens’ wife, Debbie, used human growth hormone in preparation for her participation in a pictorial in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue.

The real issue here is do you believe that Debbie Clemens used HGH or did she get that way from working out hard?
